Club Information

The Club at North Halton is a private member-owned equity golf club located in the heart of Georgetown; a 20-minute drive west of of Toronto.

Since its opening in 1954, The Club at North Halton has created a legacy of memories and friendships that make us more than just a golf club. 

Guest information

We are located in Georgetown, Ontario, North-West of Toronto. 

Driving from the East:

  • Take the 401 West to Trafalgar Road

  • Proceed north on Trafalgar Road

  • Watch for Stewarttown - with a school on the right, just before a long hill

  • At the top of the hill, golf course will be on the right

  • Turn right at the traffic lights (Maple Avenue) and enter via the lower driveway on Maple Avenue

Driving from the West:

  • Take the 401 Eest to Trafalgar Road

  • Proceed north on Trafalgar Road

  • Watch for Stewarttown - with a school on the right, just before a long hill

  • At the top of the hill, golf course will be on the right

  • Turn right at the traffic lights (Maple Avenue) and enter via the lower driveway on Maple Avenue

Golfing Guests ~ On arrival please drop your golf clubs at the bag drop located at the west end of the parking lot. One of our back shop attendants will greet you and collect your equipment. Once you have parked your vehicle and gathered your shoes, please check in at the Professional Shop. Either your host for your round or a member of our staff will give you information on directions to the locker room and a guest locker if required.

If your host has yet to make contact with you, please return to the Professional Shop , and one of our staff will give you information pertaining to the whereabouts of your host, your clubs, the practice area, putting green, and the first tee.

Upon completion of your round you may leave your clubs at the designated area just past the end of cart path from the 18th green. Our staff will pick up your clubs, clean them, and put them at the rear back shop entrance door. After you have finished in the clubhouse please drive your vehicle back to the bag drop area and our staff will put them back in your car.

Dress Regulations for Golf Course and Clubhouse - Men & Women

It is the responsibility of every member to ensure that their family members and guests comply with the Dress Code at all times. Thank you in advance for your compliance of our Dress Code. Please note it is the responsibility of the Management to enforce the Dress Code in a professional and diplomatic manner. Management is empowered to decline service and deny access to the Clubhouse, golf course or curling rink if the Dress Code is not met.
 
Unless specified differently for a Club event, the acceptable minimum dress attire for the clubhouse is smart and/or business casual or appropriate golf wear.
 
Gentlemen are to remove hats when entering any dining or lounge area of the club (except the balcony). Men are permitted to wear hats in the clubhouse while traveling to and or from the golf course or practice facility to the locker rooms.
 
Bar Area, Balcony & Lounge – The accepted dress for both gentlemen and ladies is the same requirements as outlined above. Hats should be removed in the clubhouse, but are permitted on the balcony. Appropriate denim is permitted in these areas.
 
Dining Room – Attire shall be business or smart casual.  Please no hats in the Dining Room. Ladies are permitted to wear fashion hats.
 
Men – Tailored trousers, appropriate denim, shirts with collars and sleeves, and dress sweaters are allowed.

Women – Tailored pants, appropriate denim, skirts, collared shirts, collarless shirts, dress sweater, blouses and sleeveless summer dressed are permitted. Ladies attending the club for non-golf activities are permitted to wear sleeveless tops without collars or collarless tops without sleeves.

Not permitted: Faded, torn or worn jeans, sweatshirts, including hoodies, beach sandals are not permitted, nor is any apparel with slogans or commercial messages (Club sponsored team shirts are permitted)

Appropriate Denim is defined as denim which is worn with appropriate cut, excellent repair, and consistent in color. 

Inappropriate denim is defined as denim worn or cut lower than waist level, baring midriff, tattered, frayed, patched or otherwise in disrepair or less than excellent condition.

MEN’S DRESS REGULATIONS FOR THE GOLF COURSE AND PRACTICE AREAS
Also applies to Junior and Pre-Junior Boys.
 
Shirts – Only turtlenecks and golf shirts with mock necks or collars are acceptable and must be worn tucked in.
 
Pants & Shorts – Pants must be tailored. Cargo pants (pants with expandable outside attached pockets) are unacceptable.
Shorts must be tailored. Not acceptable are athletic style shorts that fall below the knee, cargo shorts (shorts with expandable outside attached pockets) and casual sport shorts of any nature.
 
Shoes – Golf shoes or golf sandals are preferred. Soft spikes only

LADIES' DRESS REGULATIONS FOR THE GOLF COURSE AND PRACTICE AREAS
Also applies to Junior and Pre-Junior Girls.

Tops – Acceptable tops: mock neck, turtlenecks, tailored blouses and collared shirts, sleeveless tops with collars and collarless tops with sleeves. Golf shirts or blouses may be worn not tucked in, if banded, and the length is designed to rest at the top of the hip.
 
Skirts, Shorts & Pants – Only tailored skirts and shorts, pants (regular or Capri) may be worn.
 
Not Acceptable are cargo pants (pants with expandable outside attached pockets), cargo shorts (shorts with expandable outside attached pockets) and casual sport shorts of any nature.
 
Shoes – Golf shoes or golf sandals are preferred. Soft spikes only.
 
Exceptions – Ladies attending the club for non-golf activities are permitted to wear sleeveless tops without collars or collarless tops without sleeves.

  • Fleece or knit jogging suits

  • Spandex type pants/shorts

Cell phones must be kept on silent mode at all times while on club property. Receiving and making calls on cell phones is prohibited in all  areas of the Clubhouse, Dining Room, Patios, Practice Areas and Professional Shop.  Calls may be made at the front entrance of the building. 

Cell phones are restricted on the golf course (including the practice areas) with the exception of outgoing emergency calls or calls for emergency services that must be received. In these situations, phones must be kept on vibrate and answered discretely.

If uncertain of area restrictions, please consult a staff member.

Members are encouraged to bring guests as often as they wish to enjoy our food and beverage services.

Most Club social functions are open to members and their Guests. Those few events that are not open to guests will be noted as such “Please, Members Only.”

A Guest (non-member) is welcome to play six (6) games per season. Spouses are also welcome to play one Nine & Dine per month in addition to the two (2) games per month limit. A guest must be accompanied by a member on the golf course. Regular green fees apply.
